Daily Cleaning

Clean your piercing 2 times a day with a sea salt-saline mixture. Use the packet of non-iodized sea salt you received and empty it into a gallon of distilled water.

  1. Pour your solution into a cup or bowl, heat it up in the microwave so it is warm, and soak your piercing for 5 minutes, twice a day. If the area is difficult to use a cup or bowl on, you may use gauze or paper towel and dip in warm solution and compress it on front and back for 5 minutes, 3 times a day. You can also use a premixed Simply Saline Wound Wash spray to cleanse your piercing, spray on 3 times a day and let soak in.

  2. After 7 days you can begin to gently remove any crusty deposits while you clean with a well dowsed gauze or paper towel. There is no need to move your jewelry! Any small deposit or dirt that enters your piercing could potentially slow the healing process.

  3. For Oral piercings such as tongue or lip follow the above instructions for the outer area and rinse with an alcohol-free mouthwash after you eat or drink anything other than water.

Remember…

Do not use hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, Bactine, tea tree oil, Neosporin, or anti-bacterial soap on your piercing. Stay out of shared water while it is healing (lakes, creeks, hot tubs, swimming pools, etc.) for the duration of your healing time.

Be sure to consult piercer for appropriate healing times before changing jewelry.
